Adult Ministry

If we commit to following Jesus, then each one of us should be continuously growing as a disciple of Jesus. Yet so many times it seems that churches invest their time and energy into the kids and the youth, and then we just assume that adults will figure out what they need to do. At Southminster we have different opportunities to help adults engage with each other and continue (or start) to grow in their faith.

Starting again in the fall, please join us weekly for The Chosen & Pizza, on Thursdays at 6:30pm.  We offer you a new way to connect with each other, learn more about God, the Bible and faith, and eat!

We will gather in the Sanctuary at Southminster to eat together while watching and then discussing The Chosen. You might have already heard of The Chosen, the largest ever crowd-funded project that presents the story of Jesus through the eyes of his disciples.

We'll eat a meal and watch an episode of The Chosen together---we're up to episode 6, and still going strong.  Everyone is encouraged to come.  Invite neighbors and bring the kids.  It's free (donations accepted) and there's no homework.  Please let us know in advance (email pdrake@southminpres.org) if you need child care or other special needs that you may have. If you have any questions, email us or call (281-499-2310).  We look forward to seeing you each week.

Adult Bible Studies on Zoom

At this time we are allowing groups to meet in our church facilities, and we will continue to offer different growth opportunities throughout the week on Zoom.

After Easter, Pastor Kent will begin a new Bible study on Monday evenings from 7-8 PM.  Check back here for more details or call to sign up for church emails.
